Go Comes to Broadway!
GothamGo will be a one-day, single-tracked Go language and community conference held on April 27th, 2018 in New York City. To read all of the details, visit gothamgo.com.
We will also have an Intro to Go class taught by Mat Ryer, the author of Go Programming Blueprints: Second Edition, and a regular speaker at conferences around the world. The class is an "all day introduction to the Go language for developers who want to learn Go from the ground up, and kick off their Go developing career in style!"
Our venue is the amazing NYIT Auditorium on Broadway, a fantastic space for both the speakers and the attendees. It's right on Broadway, just down the street from Columbus Circle, an awesome location in the city. The auditorium is fully accessible.
We will have approximately ten 30-minute presentations, featuring expert Go developers.
Our audience will be members of the East Coast Go developer's community.
Food and Drink
GothamGo will provide continental breakfast, juice, and coffee, and an afternoon snack (cookies, brownies, fruit and healthy snacks). Lunch will be on your own, but no worries, the area surrounding the Auditorium is packed with great lunch choices, everything from street vendors to great restaurants.
We will also have an attendee/speaker party with beer, wine, and food, plus some surprises!
We plan to record all the presentations, and make the videos available online.
Wireless Access and Power
The venue promises excellent wireless access. It has been good in the past, however, we are relying on them for this service, so please plan accordingly. A few power outlets will be available (approximately 30 plugs are in the auditorium, plus we will have a few power strips). Charge your battery beforehand, just in case you can't reach a power plug for a few hours.
Cancellation and Transfers
Because of the high costs and risks of creating an event like this for the community, there will be no refunds. Confirmed and paid attendees who do not attend are liable for the entire fee.
However, transfers are possible, just send an email to info at nationconfs.com. Include the name and email address of the new attendee.
If you wish to return your ticket for us to use for a diversity scholarship, to give to a member of a group underrepresented in the tech community, please contact us. Just send an email to info at nationconfs.com, and tell us to release your ticket on a diversity scholarship.
In the unlikely event of cancellation, the liability of the GothamGo conference is limited to the return of paid registration fees.
